Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. Cooler weather, colorful leaves and trips to the apple farms abound during this season. I live close to Ellijay, Georgia, the capital of appley goodness! They have fried pies, apple ice cream, apple crisp, apple butter, apple decor and bags of every color apple imaginable. I can finally pull out my apple peeler, corer, slicer and go to town. Gala apples are one of my many favorites along with the granny smiths.
There's nothing better than sitting on an old quilt and reading a book while the breeze whips across your face....
