Just in time for Halloween, a review of my paranormal ghost erotic romance "An Unexpected Guest" and a news story about a scam involving a lawyer, a client, and his dead wife's "ghost". Plus an older ghost story that will raise your eyebrows.
Check out these two bizarre ghost/sex stories. The first one is new. I suppose the grifter tried to have sex with the widower and "channeled" his dead wife. Now that takes chutzpah!
Lawyer Accused of Impersonating Client's Dead Wife
The National Law Journal
September 07, 2010
In what could be a first, an Arizona attorney may face disciplinary action after an investigation found that she told a client she was channeling his dead wife, then lied about it during an unrelated disciplinary proceeding.
An Arizona Supreme Court hearing officer recently filed a report on the conduct of Charna Johnson, who began representing the client in 1999 in divorce proceedings after meeting him in a ballroom dancing class. The client's wife committed suicide the following year and Johnson handled the probate matters.
Within days of the death, Johnson began telling her client that "his deceased wife Jan had 'come' to her and that Jan's 'spirit' was 'inside' her and that she could communicate Jan's thoughts," according to the report. The client testified that Johnson pressured him to have a sexual relationship, although she told the investigator that the references to sex were coming from the deceased wife, not herself. The report recommends Johnson be suspended for six months.
This second one is a couple of years old. I've heard of men and women believing they've had sex with ghosts, but most often they are called incubi or succubi. These critters have been around for aeons and they are nasty. Don't mess with them. They are also most often the same creature. A succubus (female form) has sex with a man and takes in his semen. Then, the creature turns into the male form (incubus) and has sex with a woman, ejaculating the semen into her. Rinse and repeat with another man. Pretty bizarre legend isn't it? I wonder what kind of sick people came up with stuff like this in centuries gone by?
Two women report ghost has been having sex with them
Apr 19 2008
• At 4:02 p.m. April 10, two women went into the Federal Way police station claiming that over the past two years, a paranormal person has been placing sensors on their bodies and visiting them in their house at 28600 block of 25th Place South. They said that the ghost has been having sexual intercourse with them. One woman said that these incidents started in Kent and continued when she moved here. The other woman said that this just started now.
I simply love ghost stories, even the ridiculous ones but especially the scary ones. I had to try my hand at ghost stories and I did just that with my novel "An Unexpected Guest". I just received a lovely review of this book. Here are the particulars to buy the book:

Heat Level: ; M/F - Vanilla Sex
"An Unexpected Guest by Elizabeth Black is an interesting romance with a paranormal twist that will have you guessing at the outcome all the way through. Annie is a young woman who has reached a point in her life in which she is tired of doing what others expect her to do. She is ready to start living and playing by her own rules. She is the type of character that many women can relate to for this reason. [...] I really enjoyed An Unexpected Guest and definitely look forward to reading it again. It is an entertaining book for people who enjoy the paranormal romance genre. I love books that keep the reader guessing and unable to figure the plot out too early. This book falls in that category. Just when you think you have everything figured out and know how the story is going to end, something happens that leads you in another direction."
If you want a great companion book to An Unexpected Guest buy my book The Haunting Of The Sandpiper Inn. Here are the particulars, plus excerpts from reviews.

She has met her match in both getting to the bottom of the haunting of the Sandpiper Inn and proving to skeptic John “Beck” Becker that she is the real deal. The problem is that Beck and Ellis have more serious worries. The Sandpiper Inn holds a dark secret that threatens to destroy them both. What awaits them as they delve into the history of the Sandpiper Inn? And will their investigations bring them closer together or drive them further apart?

"Ms. Black writes a suspense filled, tightly-woven, and tingling tale of ghosts and murders and hauntings...oh, my! Toss into the mix a hot, wonderfully erotic romance with a self-proclaimed skeptic who is out to prove things such as ghosts don't really exist, and you have a wonderful read that kept me turning pages until the wee hours!
With delightfully wicked and funny characters like Lealand Ward, only one of the several ghosts who run amok at The Sandpiper Inn, and who loves to watch the ladies undress and enjoys copping a feel whenever his ecctoplasm is up to the task, Ms. Black weaves a wicked and tingly tale of murder, sex, and ghostly revenge with a master's hand!
Well worth the read, and well worth the 8.0 on Fran's Richter Scale!"

You Gotta Read Reviews
I loved this story by Ms. Black. I am a huge fan of her writing and I thoroughly enjoy her haunting storylines and characters. She developed a fun storyline that immediately pulled me in from the very first page and entertained me until the very last sentence. I felt as if I was walking along with Ellis and the GHOST team trying to debunk the hauntings that The Sandpiper Inn seemed to be experiencing. This is a great story that doesn’t just have to be read at Halloween. If you love ghost stories and love to read about haunted places, this is definitely one you must add to your library. Ms. Black did a wonderful job with this story and I can’t wait to read her next one. You’re definitely going to enjoy this story. Don’t pass this one up!

Five out of five hearts!
THE HAUNTING OF THE SANDPIPER INN is an attention-grabbing read that is well laid out and moves along quickly. It has a great paranormal edge to it with plenty of psychic phenomenon occurring and the start of a heady relationship between Ellis and Beck. Elizabeth Black’s tale makes you feel like you are part of the investigation team and I appreciated the realism of things. It is laced with a bit of humor and the steaminess it contained had me distracted just enough to almost ignore the goose bumps I got when reading through parts of the scenes. If you enjoy supernatural mysteries mixed with hot romance, then this book is for you.
The lively characters in The Haunting of the Sandpiper Inn are remarkably refreshing. I love the vibrant glow they bring into the story. The moment I started reading about Ellis and Beck, I wanted them to connect in so many ways. The story kept me on the edge, even giving me little goose bumps on occasion. I already love anything that has to do with the paranormal in these type stories or events, and this one is remarkably written by Elizabeth Black. Once I started it, I couldn't put the book down. The strong attraction she gives to Ellis and Beck is magnificent. I adore the way Ellis and the other GHOST investigators interacted together. This engaging read is one that left a great impression with this reader.
