Every author goes through spelss where they don't feel creative, at least all the ones I've talked to do. I get blocked and use my tricks to get through it, but what what happens when the muse goes completely missing. It's an author's worst nightmare and it is exactly what I'm dealing with now. Stress is never good for creativity and lately I've been under a lot of stress. It seems like I'm being pulled in fifty different directions and as a result my muse has run away. I have no urge to read or write or do anything book related. It's bad. I've tried all the old standbys and nothing so far has helped. This constantly cold, dreary weather isn't doing me any good either. What i need is some sun and fun and some inspirational rejuvanation. Anyone got a house in the islands i can come stay at for a while? ^_^ So what tricks do you use to get yourself back in the writing mood when your muse goes MIA?
