Secret Fantasies and Wishful Thinking

Let's face it. We all have secret fantasies, whether we will admit to them or not.

Me, I dream of winning the lottery -- big.

After which, all of my problems will go away, and I can afford all of my hobbies and interests. Hugh Jackman, Tom Selleck and Nathan Fillion (among others) will be knocking at my door, wanting a piece of me. Of course I'll tell them I'm happily married, but they can rub my feet or babysit my children. *cough*

While I realize the chances of me winning the lottery in a big way and buying a castle in Scotland are pretty much non-existant (you do have to buy a lottery ticket to win, don't you?), I've spent that money in so many ways, so many different times. Wishful thinking? Premonition? Not-so-secret fantasy? Who knows, but whatever it is, I'm definitely not giving my fantasies up.

So what's your secret fantasy? Sexual? Monetary? Fame? Everyone's got one, and it's good to induldge once in awhile. Take 5 minutes today and revel in your fantasies!

Sexual? No, not that. Monetary? I'd love to win the lottery, but no, not my secret fantasy. My secret fantasy is really rather simple and boring, and actually kind of easy. My secret fantasy is to get away. Just get away from my kids, my job, and all my responsibilities for a week or two, by myself, in one of three places that I love: Savannah GA, Boston, MA or Albaquerque, NM. Nothing to do but read, wander the streets seeing the sights, enjoying the sights and sounds and tastes of the city I'm in. Yeah, I know, not fancy. But I would love it.
