Last weekend the hubby and I went to see X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The hubby's a huge fan of superhero movies, and I admit I am too. Plus I love me some Hugh Jackman. I mean, come on!
It was pretty entertaining in my opinion, lots of action and lots of Hugh. :)Next up, we'll be seeing Star Trek this weekend. I'm also excited about Public Enemies, opening in July (Johnny Depp, hello!). I'm sure I'll also end up at Terminator: Salvation and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, because my husband likes both franchises. All in all it looks to be an interesting movie season.
I love going to the movies in the summer. Getting out of the heat and escaping into a movie is kind of like escaping into a good book. Great characterization and a riveting plot draw me in, but sometimes I like a good old-fashioned escapist popcorn flick.
What summer flicks are you looking forward to? What genre do you prefer: action/adventure, sci-fi, drama, comedy, family, or something else? What makes a good movie in your mind?
