You can spice up your very vanilla sex life with a little sensation play.
Why would anyone want to try out sex fantasies? There are lots of reasons. They want to further explore their sexuality. They want to add some more excitement to their sex play. They may like the feeling of helplessness that comes with being a submissive. Others like fantasy roleplaying because they want to improve their social skills. Some find their lives to be rather dull, and fantasy roleplaying brings some excitement to their lives.
Try on a persona that is different from your day-to-day persona. Are you normally shy and reserved? Play the dominatrix so that you take control of your fantasy situation. Do you bark orders and make major decisions at work? Take on a submissive role so that you can relax and let someone else make all the decisions. You can let go and be at your partner's mercy.
Now, choose your characters. Many sex toys stores sell costumes for roleplaying, so you can buy them there. Lots of these stores have online shopping, so you don't even have to leave home to find what you want. Choose the doctor and nurse outfits for some sexy medical roleplaying. Or choose the pirate and maiden. Spanking is popular in roleplaying, and you can either use your hands, a spatula, or a paddle or flogger whip especially made for roleplaying sex games. Do you want to be restrained while your partner teases you with a feather or flogger whip? Then buy some bed restraints or plush hand and wrist cuffs. You can take on many different roles depending on what kind of mood you and your partner are in. Enjoy some roleplaying sex games and have some good sexy fun!

I think it is great to role play. It adds a little spice to a persons life. It doesn't have to be a full blow fantasy with costumes and scenery. It can be a simple as you want it, as long as it adds the element of being or doing something that you normally would not do in your everyday life. No age is too old or too young to enjoy role playing. Remember playing doctor when we were little. It's fun to play when you are older also.
Role playing hasn't really worked for me. I guess I just can't let myself get into character enough of something. I've never tried the costumes so maybe that could make a difference.
I would so love to role play. I want him to call me mistress. I would definitely tie him up, and give him a little spanking. I just love being in control.
The kind of role play I like is a bit different,or maybe not so different. I've always loved the scenario where I'm sitting in a bar and a man walks in, says something totally inappropriate to me, such as
How much? LMAO...or something dirty, and I just leave with him with everyone around just staring. Of course I know the guy. I used to do this with this really special guy and we dragged it out a lot. Got really into it. Convinced everyone we were just two strangers who got hot for each other at first sight. Really good stuff. lol

We have moved that role playing right on into real life at time. I have a sadistic streak that loves to come out and play.

Role play is great. Mostly because you can have as much or as little of the pleasure punishment principles as you and your partner want. Master helps other Doms learn to satisfy their partners in BDSM play, and many time I go with so we can roleplay out to them the kind of interaction they want to see, whether it be mild or more severe. This is the real beauty of roleplay, how it can be adjusted to everyones needs and be new and different every time. I just want to put in a good word for two concepts, orgasm denial or teasing, and forced orgasms. Especially with females, I feel forced orgasms are the bomb.
I've never role played myself, as I don't get into it much. I'd feel really silly saying something like "Do you want Nurse Nancy to make you feel better?" I would break out in giggles. We do like sensation play, though. One of our favorite things to do now is for me to light up our massage candle, and we give each other foot and hand massages. I'm a sucker for a foot massage. I pretend I'm a mistress in a harem and my king is catering to me. Huh, maybe that is role playing. LOL!
I've never role played myself and have never really been interested in it. I agree with you Elizabeth, I wouls probably get the giggles about something and totally ruin the mood, but it would sure lighten things up. LOL But I do love massages.
